Education for Sustainable Development

Through a collaboration between the University of Saskatchewan School of Public Health and Saskatoon Public Schools, SSRWSI took part in a classroom education program designed to increase awareness of factors that impact and shape our local water systems. Under the mentorship of a U of S grad student, groups of grade 8 students from four Saskatoon schools designed and constructed original projects related to water issues. SSRWSI delivered initial presentations to give the students a good background knowledge and understanding of the local watershed, and to provide them with inspiration for their projects.
